Community Relations and Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship Program Manager

Position Overview:

Reporting to the CEO, the Community Relations and IWE Program Manager will be responsible for fostering relationships with Metis entrepreneurs, community organizations, and funding agencies. This role involves outreach, business development support, and managing the Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs (IWE) program. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in organizing workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs while also ensuring the effective administration of the IWE program.

What will you do?

Community Development & Business Support

• Conduct outreach to the Metis community in Saskatchewan, fostering relationships with organizations, government agencies, and funding bodies.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to support Metis businesses and economic growth.
• Lead the organization of conferences, training seminars, and workshops for Metis entrepreneurs.
• Provide guidance and support for clients on project development, financing, and investment strategies.
• Represent CCDF and SMEDCO at events, conferences, and meetings, often outside regular business hours.

Marketing and Communications

• Organize and facilitate marketing campaigns, media events, and public workshops to promote CCDF and SMEDCO's services.
• Develop and oversee content for the website and other promotional materials.
• Lead the development of the Annual Reports and other strategic communication initiatives.

Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs (IWE) Program

• Administer and oversee all aspects of the IWE program, ensuring strategic growth and success.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Metis women seeking funding and business development resources.
• Organize mentorship programs and peer-learning opportunities.
• Work closely with Business Development Specialists to monitor lending submissions and program outcomes.
• Track and report on IWE projects to the Board, CEO, and NACCA.

Administrative and Leadership Duties

• Manage and mentor the Community and Women's Program Officer.
• Provide monthly reports on activities and progress to the CEO.
• Represent CCDF and SMEDCO on assigned committees.
• Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and ethical guidelines.

What qualifications are we looking for?

• An Undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in commerce or business administration would be an asset.
• Two (2) years of experience in small business or commercial lending.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
• An understanding and empathy for the challenges of Metis people and communities.
• Knowledge of Metis history in Saskatchewan and a passion for helping Metis people increase their self-sufficiency and quality of life.
• Strong customer service skills and understanding of customer service principles.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn other programs.
• Proven experience in program administration, marketing, and community outreach.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Legal status to work in Canada.

Preference for this position may be given to qualified Metis applicants.

A driver's license as well as access to a vehicle will be required. Final candidates for this position will be required to undergo security screening, including a credit and criminal record check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
