Position Overview HTA 75 is seeking a Training Coordinator to oversee the logistics of all training programs. Collaborating with program specialists and instructors, this role ensures the effective management of program logistics and communication to facilitate participant engagement. The Training Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining high program quality throughout participants\' employment and training journey.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a complex, government-funded, non-profit environment and possess strong leadership, project management, stakeholder management, and organizational communication skills. They should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, proactively identify and address risks, and take initiative to overcome challenges. Proficiency in computer skills and a willingness to learn new software programs to support organizational and program outcomes are essential. Moreover, the candidate should have a deep understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging practices, actively fostering a culture of care within the organization.
Key Accountabilities

  • Compose and coordinate clear and timely communications to learners regarding training program details, promptly addressing inquiries and triaging them as necessary.
  • Organize and distribute Zoom training information to participants for online training sessions.
  • Manage the ordering and shipment of course materials, including workbooks, to participants or training locations.
  • Collaborate with the Program team to set up training facilities, procure necessary supplies, and arrange for uniforms for all training programs.
  • Oversee and maintain inventory of training equipment, uniforms, and supplies for each program.
  • Update and maintain HTA 75\'s Salesforce database, ensuring accurate records of participant attendance and completed training sessions with the support of the Programs Team.
  • Print, coordinate, and deliver certificates of course completion to participants.
  • Maintain training records, including trainee lists, schedules, and attendance records.
  • Prepare and submit reports on training activities.
  • Schedule and book training rooms and other necessary venues with suppliers as needed.

Role Requirements
  • This is a hybrid position and while some parts of this position can be completed at-home in a virtual setting, this position has a significant in-person requirement and requires attendance various training sites, employer properties, and other meeting spaces across the Greater Toronto Area.
  • This position will require work outside of standard business hours. HTA75 programs reflect the needs of the hospitality workforce and its availability for training and support.
  • This position will be required to work evenings and weekends.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience working in a non-profit or social service setting.
  • Strong inventory and schedule management experience in a program-oriented organization.
  • Proficiency in managing documentation and maintaining client records with compliance standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Effective organization and task management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Compensation & Benefits
  • This role will receive an competitive annual salary of $60,000 - $65,000 CAD (pro-rated through the length of the contract, if applicable)
