What You'll Do
As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will:
Conduct assessments for mobility, ergonomics, safety, and daily living activities.
Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
Support clients in their homes, workplaces, schools, or virtually to promote recovery and independence.
Work with diverse clients, including those with mental health conditions, brain injuries, physical disabilities, and developmental delays.
Optional Focus Areas
Pediatrics
: Help children improve sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, and self-care.
Senior Care
: Perform home safety evaluations and provide mobility aids for seniors.
Workplace Health
: Conduct ergonomic assessments and design return-to-work plans.
Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Current registration with the
College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC)
or eligibility to register.
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for community visits.
Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
