As part of our mission to address HIV, HCV, and other chronic infectious diseases among marginalized and underserved populations, the Community Nurse will provide frontline care, patient support, and engagement in both clinic and outreach settings.
Expectations and Tasks:
Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
Assist in care coordination and follow-up for patients with HIV, HCV, and other infectious diseases.
Support patient education and adherence to treatment plans.
Participate in outreach clinics (community pop-ups, support groups, harm-reduction programs).
Collaborate with physicians, NPs, researchers, and social support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with HIV, HCV, addictions, and/or marginalized populations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or high-stress situations.
Experience in community health or infectious disease care is an asset.
Educational/Professional Requirements:
Current registration in good standing as an
LPN with BCCNM
.
At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience (community nursing preferred).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $69,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
