Responsibilities
As the Community Manager with Hines we are seeking a real estate-focused, creative and experienced professional to lead the strategic direction for the marketing, communications, site branding and events programming. The successful candidate will develop and execute a strategy to raise the profile of the urban campus, bring the brand purpose to life and build tenant engagement and advocacy. You will play a critical role in leading the creation, management and execution of a robust yearly multidisciplinary art and culture programming calendar that ties into the vision and aspirations for the property. You will use your expertise in marketing strategy, digital communications and social media, media relations event programming and project management to help drive T3 Bayside and T3 Sterling\xe2\x80\x99s success. The Community Manager will report to the Property Manager and manage other staff and vendors as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop, produce, and deliver programming content that captures the imagination and builds an annual calendar of daily, weekly, monthly and one-off events, programs and experiences, in partnership with tenants, community organizations and stakeholders that enliven the T3 Bayside and T3 Sterling sites, the rooftop, courtyard and indoor common areas \xe2\x80\x93 and engage a broad and diverse set of visitors.
Ensure that programs and events respond to and reflect tenant needs, are inclusive of Toronto\'s diverse populations and acknowledge the site\xe2\x80\x99s unique presence and significance.
Responsible for driving event strategies, messaging, activation plans and execution.
Own project management of event programs end-to-end including the development of strategy briefs, schedules, production, budget and reporting.
Leverage existing network of local, national and global relationships in arts and culture, food and beverage, event operations and execution; research and build new relationship partners on an ongoing basis, including negotiating contracts.
Develop a comprehensive commercial and sponsorship model for different types of events. * Work with colleagues and tenants to develop strategies to heighten T3 Bayside and T3 Sterling\xe2\x80\x99s brand profile and recognition; assess new opportunities to build reputation outside of traditional timelines and vehicles.
Constantly advocate effectively and compellingly for T3 Bayside and T3 Sterling programming, events and brand, seizing every opportunity to build knowledge of and respect for the development site.
Liaise with communications representatives from outside partners such as tenants, architects and designers, lenders, construction companies and joint venture partners as well as planning organizations, government partners and other stakeholders.
Develop, manage and maintain solid and harmonious relations with any and all collaborators. Exercise discretion in guiding prospective participants and event organizers; including possibly gatekeeping where events may not be in the interests of the greater community, strategy or complex.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include:
University degree or experiential equivalent from an accredited institution.
Eight or more years professional experience in Experiential Marketing, Communications, Media Relations/PR and Event Production and Management; Commercial Real Estate Development and Hospitality experience highly desired.
Demonstrated experience in building and launching a brand identity through strategic planning and execution; exceptional track record in planning, communicating and event marketing strategies, advertising campaigns and e-marketing programs.
Strong experiential acumen and extensive knowledge of best tenant engagement development practices; the ideal candidate will know how to create and produce thoughtful, engaging communications and events that deliver against strategic objectives and are tailored for the intended audience.
Impeccable communication skills: oral and written, formal and informal, prepared and spontaneous; able to write and present information and act as spokesperson in a compelling manner to audiences and communities in a way that generates excitement for Eighth Avenue Place.
Proven successful experience in creating, managing and executing complex indoor and outdoor events, site activations and installations; must have thorough knowledge and experience of event operations and logistics from budget, scheduling and team coordination; experience working with food and beverage, hospitality, sustainability and wellness sectors and communities highly desirable.
Experience in managing and delivering large, complex programming and content led events with multi-stakeholder engagement and integration, excellent stakeholder management skills.
Maintain a current, globally informed view of the commercial real estate industry and best practices; participate at industry association events; monitor trends and key insights in communications and experiential marketing and the competitive landscape.
Experience in managing agencies and their mandates. * Experience maintaining an activations calendar.
