Position Purpose





The Home Depot Canada Foundation is committed to preventing and ending youth homelessness in Canada, with a commitment to invest $125Million by 20230. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Investment, the Community Investment Lead is responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating customer based fundraising programs in support of The Home Depot Canada Foundation, primarily The Orange Door Project bi-annual POS campaign. The Community Investment Lead executes 3 key fundraising campaigns annually from program design to execution, including managing internal and external communications, establishing fundraising targets and charity partner payment processing, and serves as the main contact for charity partners, and our Store Community Investment Leads (SCILs). S/he also identifies opportunities to increase brand awareness and funds from customers for The Home Depot Canada Foundation and their partners and enhance The Home Depot Canada's corporate social responsibility profile.



Position Responsibilities



Leads, develops and executes program plans that align with the Foundation's mission and The Home Depot Canada's business imperatives, on time and within approved budget Identifies opportunity for diversified revenue streams for The Home Depot Canada Foundation and onboards new programs to achieve the Foundation's mandate, i.e. in store products Manages the development and execution of communications plans that support programs of responsibility Administers, maximizes and tracks high-level and program budgets Leads and manages all communications, guidance and support to all stakeholders leading up to, during and after each customer fundraising initiative (i.e. spring and holiday The Orange Door Project fundraising campaigns) Manages all communications, and support to all stakeholders leading up to, during and after customer fundraising initiatives, including products sold in support of The Home Depot Canada Foundation. Manages financial reporting for customer facing campaigns (Orange Door Project, toque campaign and online donation campaign) Collaborates with marketing department to develop on-budget, effective marketing materials (including signage, messaging, emails, social posts to support customer fundraising programs and creates assets on an ad hoc basis Leads the programmatic delivery of customer fundraising program to stakeholders both internally and externally Manage donor database for customer fundraising program and liaise with the Foundation's Finance and Operations Specialist to ensure timely and disbursement of funds to recipient charitable partners Project manages and maintains records of all components of customer fundraising program budgets Leads, develops administers on-budget, effective incentive prizing program Develops metrics and systems to effectively evaluate programs and completes program assessments Continues to create opportunity for new and existing stakeholder engagement in programs Builds strong relationships with associates (i.e. The Home Depot Canada Foundation Board of Directors, SSC and field associates, public relations, internal communications, marketing, human resources, merchandising, finance, operations, US counterparts and others as required) as well as a variety of external stakeholders to deliver on program needs Represents The Home Depot Canada (Foundation) at internal and external events Supports and delivers other fundraising programs/events and other related duties as required

Experience / Knowledge Required





Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets Expectations and Consistently Demonstrates) Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent degree in related field Min. 5 years' experience in campaign management, fundraising and/or project coordination Proven experience in corporate community relations and/or related non-profit experience Highly organized with a proven ability to manage projects, multi-task and operate under pressure with competing deadlines Ability to design and utilize diverse communications methods and tools to effectively target messages to key stakeholders and clearly convey thoughts, concepts and direction Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality Proven client service experience Excellent written and oral skills Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels Computer literate - including use of the Internet and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Experience with fundraising software French language skills a definite asset * Ability to travel domestically 5-10% required
