VOLUNTEER \xe2\x80\x93 COMMUNITY HUB ASSISTANT YW Calgary works to provide preventative and restorative services to women and their families to help them thrive.
Our mission is to intervene, empower and lead where people need us most. We are committed to advocating for
mental health, supporting those experiencing domestic violence and enabling women\xe2\x80\x99s economic prosperity.

We are currently seeking Community Hub Assistants to work as needed on evenings and weekends to assist with
rental groups, classes, fitness centre monitoring, and events going on at YW. As an ambassador for YW, the
Community Hub Ambassador plays a key part in greeting and directing people, supporting in-house events, and
providing excellent customer service. This position works independently or as part of a team and is critical in
supporting successful events and experiences.

WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL DO Assist in room set-up as per rental group requirements, including moving furniture
Greet and/or direct people as they enter
Support catering and equipment set-up
Monitor and support rental groups throughout their event
Assist with YW Fitness tours and membership sales
Assist with monitoring YW Fitness WHY VOLUNTEER Experience working in a non-profit. By volunteering for YW you are making a significant impact on women

SHIFTS AVAILABLE Daytime, evenings, and weekends, as required based on rental calendar and requests

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE A VOLUNTEER Resume and application
Participate in interview process, including reference checks
Weekly time commitments vary based on facility usage. On-call availability is requested for a minimum of 6 months
Strong customer service skills
Proven ability to work independently
You approach work and others through the lens of equity, diversity and inclusivity
Ability to adapt readily and respond to various customer needs and changing environments
Ability to handle high pressure situations
Quick to learn new processes, programs and procedures
A clear Police Information Check clearance, including a Vulnerable Sector Search clearance; Child Intervention Check clearance
