Join the Westcorp Team!:Westcorp is seeking a Community Housekeeper to maintain the overall cleanliness of a twenty-eight-story residential building. Windsor Park Plaza, located in College Plaza. As assigned, the ideal candidate will clean common areas, amenities, parkade vestibules, show suites, etc. This is subject to change as we occasionally rotate the housekeeping team to other on-site buildings to ensure cross-coverage for the team.This position works Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, plus alternating weekend shifts shared with the housekeeping team. Weekends entail the upkeep of the lobbies at Windsor Park Lofts, Galen Lofts, the two towers of Windsor Park Plaza, and the amenities spaces.Working in residential property management is not just a job. Your Primary Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform housekeeping duties in a manner that ensures our properties are kept in superior condition, ensuring our residents reside in a clean and safe environment
  • Clean common areas (including but not limited to restrooms, laundry rooms, lobbies, and corridors)
  • Clean show suites and, on occasion, complete vacant unit touch-ups
  • Maintain building entryways and empty garbage cans
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning products and supplies (e.g., toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) and report to management when they require replenishment
  • Follow an implemented cleaning schedule
  • Report any maintenance issues to management
  • Assist other team members and departments when needed
  • Participate in and ensure WHMIS regulations are implemented and followed
  • Ensure local, provincial, & federal laws and regulations are being observed in the community
  • Execute all work safely and professionally in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation
  • Ensure comprehension and compliance with all Westcorp Playbook policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager
Your Required Skills and Abilities:
  • High school graduate
  • Must have at least two years of proven professional housekeeping experience
  • Candidates with hotel experience would take preference
  • Must be fluent in English and have strong verbal and written skills, as you will have to maintain a supply inventory and work closely with the operations team
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Possess physical stamina and strength, and be able to manage time well
  • Must be personable and have a positive, energetic attitude
  • Must be flexible and willing to change roles or responsibilities as required
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • References required
  • A security clearance will be completed upon an accepted offer of employment
