As part of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Community Health Worker 1 provides various housekeeping duties, meal planning and preparation, and the promotion of a safe and healthy working environment.

Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle; and Valid BC Driver\'s License.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

• Grade 12
• Class V BC Driver\'s License
• FoodSafe
• Recent, related experience of three months
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Or other Qualifications determined to be reasonable and relevant to the level of work

Skills And Abilities

• Home management skills
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
• Ability to operate related equipment and technology (iPhones, computers)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

CHW 1/Home Attendant required for Discovery Harbor STEPS unit. This 6 bed unit is run by Campbell River Home Support (CHS). This is a FIXED posting and includes a 30 minute unpaid break. Days on: Thurs-Sat Days off: Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed\xe2\x80\x8b
