The Opportunity:
The purpose of Community Health Nurse is to provide community health promotion services and to promote the prevention of disease, maintenance of health and the overall health and well being of the community.
Performing nursing skills, such as delegated medical functions and crisis intervention, such as emergency assessment and care including arranging for escort and evacuation for further intervention as required, point of care testing, specimen acquisition- including venipuncture, and arranging referral and transfer where necessary;
Assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating the care needs and goals for individual patients/clients and their caregivers/families;
Processing and implementing physicians' orders, identifying and seeking clarification as necessary

What You Will Bring to The Role:
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred and/or Registered Nurse;
Current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives), and Remote Certification status registration to be obtained within two (2) years of hire if requested by employer.
Basic Life Support, Level "C" certificate
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) mandatory
TNCC or ITLS preferred or to be obtained within 6 months
2 years of recent remote nursing and/or emergency nursing experience preferred or equivalent experience
Completion of PHSA Indigenous Cultural Competency Training within 1 year
Completion of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate within 3 months

Wage Range:
The target hiring range for this position is $66.0680 - $86.8905 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
