Our Nurses work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit and M\xc3\xa9tis), providing care to community members in Canada\xe2\x80\x99s North. We hire nurses for remote northern communities of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.Whitehorse is the capital and only city of Yukon, and the largest city in northern Canada. Because of the city\'s location in the Whitehorse valley and relative proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the climate is milder than comparable northern communities such as Yellowknife. At this latitude, winter days are short and summer days have up to about 19 hours of daylight.The work you will do:As a Registered Community Health Nurse (RN) you will be responsible for providing primary health care services to the client population within the legislated scope of practice, regulatory body standards of practice, organizational policies and procedures and individual competencies. This assignment involves working in a Corrections Facility that operates similarly to a Community Health Centre with medical directives in the absence of a physician. Focus will be on acute issues requiring advanced assessment knowledge.Assignments will be four (4) weeks minimum.Why Bayshore?
