Your Team
As the Community Experience Intern, you are the key person in supporting event planning, and citywide activations for Homeowners Associations and Brookfield Residential. You will support the execution of key objectives, site visits, and setup and tear down, and be the onsite liaison for all events.
You have high energy levels and can manage multiple tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy is fundamental in ensuring daily objectives are completed effectively and efficiently.
This is a full-time seasonal position that supports placemaking activations. This role will have a combination of in office, on site, and outdoor work, and hours will include weekends and some long weekends.
Your Key Deliverables
Activate our communities to support our community engagement and continue to support the positive reputation of Brookfield Residential.
Create opportunities to engage residents and visitors to gain feedback on activations and experience
Plan a summer of fun activities and engagement events
Work with City to ensure compliance to City bylaws
Logistics support: site visits, set up, tear down, on site liaison
Organization of supplies and other event needs
Support marketing efforts to attract residents to events
Collaborate with the HOA and Brookfield Residential in:
Supporting social media content development
Website updates
Email updates
Taking content onsite at the event
Liaison with vendors
Establish and enforce event policies and procedures
Must Haves
Post-secondary education in related field or relevant experience
Strong customer service and trouble shooting skills, sales or customer service related experience preferred
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Results driven
Ability to anticipate project needs and meet deadlines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products i.e. Word, Outlook, and Excel
Ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders
Solid understanding of social media and other digital platforms
A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
The ability to lift and move heavier objects (up to 40lbs) is necessary
Nice to Haves
Experience with event planning is an asset
Creative and technical writing is an asset
