The Niagara Falls Public Library is seeking a full-time Community Engagement Coordinator to lead the operational community engagement activities of the Niagara Falls Public Library. This position will entail attending meetings with community partners, managing administrative logistics for partnerships, preparing reports, facilitating communication, and supporting fundraising through donor relationships.
The successful candidate will have a combination of skills including community engagement and relationship building to acquire new partnerships and maintain the existing relationships within the community, project management, leadership and team management, critical thinking, and superior communication skills to best support the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Implements community engagement plans and projects that align with the Library's Strategic Plan.
Coordinates the system-wide outreach program, collaborating with the Customer Service and Programs (CSP) department.
Serves as the operational contact for community partners, scheduling meetings, and facilitating day-to-day communication.
Organizes the logistics of partnerships, including scheduling partner services within the Library and coordinating joint projects.
Prepares and shares partnership information, updates, and reports with relevant staff and managers.
Researches and identifies potential sponsorships and new partnerships for the Manager's approval.
Assists with event fundraising and coordinating volunteers for fundraising events
Supports fundraising efforts by assisting with event logistics, volunteer coordination, and donor stewardship.
Maintains accurate donor records and assists in fostering positive relationships with donors.
Manages the effective performance of all staff either directly or indirectly supervised.
Plans and implements changes and innovations.
Reports problems with the operation of physical plants and equipment.
Participates in and contributes towards library committees, meetings, and events.
Stays abreast of professional and community knowledge, in order to enhance services and the Library's community role.
Monitors assigned budgets.
Identifies problems and resolves them when possible.
Prepares statistics and reports as required.
Shares accountability for ensuring a safe and respectful workplace.
Other duties consistent with job responsibilities.
Skills, Knowledge, Training:
Post-secondary degree in a related field or a combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience.
A Library Technician diploma is considered an asset.
1 years' relevant experience in a library.
Demonstrated supervisory experience.
Demonstrated familiarity with data from various sources and in various formats.
Demonstrated familiarity with current technology.
Valid G-class License.
