This role will support engagement activities and community investment programs, working closely with community partners and other stakeholders to achieve success as a member of the Communications and External Engagement team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and experience in community engagement or corporate social responsibility.Key elements of this role include:To thrive in this role, you recognize yourself in most of the following competencies and skills listed below:Acts with a sense of urgency and strong organization skills.Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to problem-solve and bring creative thinking to the role.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Event management planning and execution skills, with experience in managing logistics and communicating with participants.These skills will make you successful:Qualifications:Bachelor\'s degree in public relations, communications, business management with a marketing focus, or a related field.2-3 years of experience in community engagement, public relations, or corporate social responsibility related role.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, and to adapt to changing priorities and needs.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with project management tools.Experience supporting the activation of community investment initiatives and making the most of these opportunities.IAP2 Certification considered an asset.Key elements of this role include:Assist in the development and implementation of community engagement strategies and initiatives.Support the management of relationships with external stakeholders, including community organizations, non-profits, and corporate partners. Tracking regular interactions and activities.Administer employee giving programs and lotto, including promotion, administration, and reporting.Assist in event planning and execution, including managing logistics and communicating with participants.Coordinate internal stakeholder advisory committee meetings.Coordinate community investment initiatives and corporate partnerships.Support the execution of activation plans, including funding announcements and community engagement activities.Track and process invoicing related to community investment initiatives and other external engagement activities.Monitor and report on the progress of community engagement initiatives, providing regular updates as required to senior leadership or for other purposes.Monitor and track stakeholder engagement and community investment initiatives as they relate to KPIs and interactions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and departments to align external engagement activities with overall organizational goals and objectives.
