CDP - FAMILY SUPPORT

The Children & Youth Services Program is recruiting for a CDP in the Family Support. Hours of work are from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. These hours are flexible as occasional weekend and evenings are required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain open, timely and appropriate communication with families/guardians, staff and the community. Develop, organize and implement quality group programming including before care/aftercare, non-school days, summer program and evening/weekend groups. Provide leadership and support to CDW's to ensure coaching and mentoring results in quality service delivery. Front line support to individuals and staff in a variety of settings. Ensure best practices and compliance to standards, legislation and established policies of the Association. Support a variety of tasks/duties as assigned by the Team Leader of Family Support.

Qualifications and Competences

Demonstrate excellent written and interpersonal skills. Providing direct front line support to assist developing staff skill sets. Excellent organization and time management skills. Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and ability to build staff schedules and program plans. Positive and professional attitude along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and efficiency. Minimum of 2 years experience working with individuals with disabilities. Ability to work with Complex Needs individuals. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Demonstrates an understanding of the stages of child development and functional play. Completion of related secondary education an asset. Able to think outside of the box for creating recreational programs
