Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Saskatchewan Community Development Practice Lead, you will be responsible for the oversight and practices of the team for all our municipal and community development projects. As the Saskatchewan Community Development Team Lead, you are responsible for the support and development of our Team members while leading and contributing to projects, and to the strategy and success of the infrastructure business line in Saskatchewan.

Your Key Responsibilities

Direct supervision and support of design, drafting and construction staff.

Support and lead where necessary on design leads, designers, construction staff and project managers on design and construction.

Financial leadership and oversight on projects. Able to mange projects and support other project managers as needed.

Recruitment and retention of staff, including skill development training and performance management.

Take an active role in business development, account management, client relationships and proposal writing.

Advanced ability to anticipate and resolve issues while seizing opportunities to work more effectively with municipal governments, partners and communities throughout projects.

Responsible for driving consistent and effective delivery on all projects.

Responsible to ensure the Team are meeting or exceeding project schedules and budgets to meet the needs of our clients.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Thorough understanding of the Community Development industry within Saskatchewan.

Demonstrated civil engineering design skills, financial management and advanced understanding of municipal approvals processes.

Strong leadership approach that challenges staff while providing support for success.

Ability to anticipate challenges and seek opportunities to improve business processes and practices for client success.

Must be a self-motivated individual possessing superior written and verbal communication skills.

Must work well in a leadership role within a collaborative team environment.

Education and Experience

Bachelor\'s degree/ diploma/certificate or equivalent in fields directly related to civil engineering, planning and land development, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Travel could be required to other Stantec office locations, the field and/or meetings with clients as needed.
