Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and organized Facility Coordinator to join our team. The Facility Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing support for various administrative and operational tasks. This position requires a proactive individual who is detail-oriented and possesses strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors.

Duties



Perform and oversee daily facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and organizational policies. Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, liaising with vendors and service providers as necessary. Manage facility-related projects, including space planning, renovations, and improvements. Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance activities and inventory of supplies. Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related inquiries from staff and visitors. Support event planning by coordinating logistics for meetings, hall rentals, and other gatherings within the facility. Perform administrative tasks including submitting payroll, performing basic accounting tasks using QuickBooks and writing grants to secure funding.

Experience



Proven experience in facility management or a related field is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and facility management (Quickbooks) software is advantageous. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will be expected to work up to 20 hours per week. Some evening and weekend shifts may be required based on the needs of the community centre. The candidate be required to obtain a criminal record check and child abuse registry check (to be paid by the centre).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
