Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA)
to support speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The ideal candidate will assist in implementing treatment plans, supporting clients with communication disorders, and helping individuals develop essential speech and language skills.

Responsibilities
Assist the
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
in conducting speech and language therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings.
Implement treatment plans designed by the SLP to support clients in improving communication skills.
Provide direct support for individuals with speech, language, fluency, and articulation difficulties.
Use various therapeutic techniques, tools, and augmentative communication devices as directed by the SLP.
Track client progress, document session notes, and report findings to the SLP.
Support family and caregiver education by providing strategies and resources to enhance communication development at home.
Prepare therapy materials, activities, and resources tailored to individual client needs.
Maintain a positive and engaging therapeutic environment to encourage participation and progress.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards while maintaining client confidentiality.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in
Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA), Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), or a related field
.
Experience working with children, youth, or adults with speech and language disorders is an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for helping individuals improve their communication abilities.
Ability to follow therapy plans and work collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in documentation and reporting progress.
Familiarity with
augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
is an advantage.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).

Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
