Reporting to the Manager, Communications, client, the Communications Associate role supports the execution and delivery of strategic business communication and marketing programs across client. The successful candidate will leverage their experience and expertise to support a diverse portfolio of initiatives.
Key accountabilities for this position include:
Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans and produce content for various client business initiatives - e.g., sales campaigns, conferences, product launches
Act as the communications lead with project teams, providing strategic counsel and sound communications advice and regularly advising partners of communication strategy status
Work with colleagues within client to identify distribution efficiencies and build these into channel-specific content
Draft and edit a variety of content including sales tools, brochures, product overviews, special reports, press releases, website copy, and other communications as required
Oversight of BAU or regular communication vehicles, such as newsletters, where applicable.
Contribute to the development of standards for content including look and feel, tone, focus, audience, relevance, etc.
Maintain a working knowledge of client and its products, including client's Mutual Funds and ETFs, and product trends within the investment industry, and conduct comparisons
Build and foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders including sales teams, product, creative, legal and compliance
Must-Have Hard Skills:
Ability to produce professional messages that are tailored to audience needs and support the overall success of the client's business
Exceptional writing, editing, proofing and presentation skills, with an ability to synthesize and summarize details quickly and leverage the power of words in a variety of media
Solid knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel), SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, and with exposure to social media
2+ years of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, or investment industry experience
