We are looking for a passionate Communications Specialist to join us. In this role you will help shape both internal and external communications, crafting compelling content and managing communication strategy. This position may be a good fit if you have a keen eye for detail, are a strong writer, and have experience managing communication projects. Technical writing experience is considered an asset for this role.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation and implementation of communication strategies, including personalized campaigns aligned with corporate goals.
  • Develop and write content for digital platforms, including websites, email marketing , and social media (e.g., LinkedIn).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various communication initiatives and consult with business units to identify communication needs and recommend solutions.
  • Manage website content and create digital campaigns that are rich in text, images, and videos.
  • Write and edit creative copy for a range of media, including intranets, promotional collateral, and presentations, ensuring alignment with accessibility standards (e.g., AODA).
  • Provide expertise in web content management, usability, and information architecture to enhance the user experience.
  • Monitor and report on intranet analytics, summarizing key insights to guide future strategy.
  • Support events by assisting with planning, communications, and execution when needed.
  • Support issue resolution and change management activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience in communications or digital marketing.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop digital campaigns, with knowledge of analytics tools.
  • Experience in creating and editing engaging video content to support communication strategies.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for both technical and creative content.
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., AODA) and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with experience collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical writing experience or familiarity with creating user-focused content for technical applications is an asset.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with internal and external communications for large organizations.
  • Familiarity with social media as an external communications tool.
  • Creativity and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining in-office and virtual work. Flexibility and a collaborative and strategic mindset are key to success in this position and of course, a passion for all things communications.Physical/Sensory Effort/Work Environment:
  • Working primarily in an office environment, there will also be visits to construction sites.
  • Provide service to multiple people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines.
