We are currently seeking a Communications Specialist to add to our team for a temporary, one-year contract assignment. Communications is responsible for strategically communicating the company\xe2\x80\x99s mission, vision, values and business strategy to various internal and external audiences in order to accelerate company performance and drive employee engagement.   • Communications point-of-contact for Canada\xe2\x80\x99s ERP implementation and new Ontario distribution centre. Key responsibilities include drafting change management messages/communications, developing ERP and DC related content (videos, write-ups, infographics etc), supporting onsite internal employee event execution, ERP intranet management.
  • General Communications responsibilities including business communications support, copy writing, ownership of the Canada intranet, Essential Update (e-newsletter), maintenance of Cardinal Health Canada\xe2\x80\x99s digital displays, support Communications Director in engaging local media
  • Write, review, edit, and produce clear, concise communications for key audiences, drawing upon business and communication expertise as well as knowledge of employee demographics and preferences
  • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as change management skills
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional leaders, teams, and vendor partners to achieve desired results
  • Assist with internal change management for the ERP and Ontario distribution centre initiatives in close partnership with Human Resources

The Job might be for you if you have:
  • a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and strong time management skills
  • Strong change and project management skills
  • Experience in healthcare is an asset, but not a requirement
  • Graphic design experience is an asset, but not a requirement
  • Ability to work in a team environment
