$70,000 per year

Scope: The Communications & Engagement Officer coordinates and advances all marketing and outreach for the Sustainable Communities Challenge Fund. This includes coordinating communication with the provincial government, creating communications materials, maintaining program support materials, and marketing the fund to eligible applicants. The position is also responsible for developing tactics to reach traditionally underrepresented groups who may benefit from accessing the fund. Training: Consists of a comprehensive job training program plus an orientation to the organization. Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively and engage with a broad range of potential applicants
Demonstrated ability to reach and engage various stakeholders
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, research, and organizational skills
Experience in promoting grant programs considered an asset
Knowledge or experience in climate change related issues considered an asset
Previous experience working with a government setting considered an asset
Self-directed, results-oriented individual with an ability to create and manage a communication and individual workplan
Strong sense of team effort and willingness to work with other staff
Willingness to incorporate feedback and lessons learned for continuous improvement
Education: Post-secondary education required, with a specialization in marketing or communications, plus three years of related experience To view the full job description, click here.
