The Central Lakes Association of REALTORS (CLAR) is seeking a Communications Coordinator to provide exceptional and creative internal and external communications to our Members and Stakeholders.
CLAR is a real estate Association of over 2,600 REALTOR Members, located along the 401 corridor, with our head office located in Bowmanville, Ontario. CLAR has a team of 11 staff and a Board of Directors that sets policies and procedures.
The Communication Coordinator role requires a person that has strong attention to detail, can meet strict timelines with little supervision, values integrity, excellence and teamwork. The ideal candidate must thrive in a challenging environment and manage multiple priorities with finesse, discretion, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
This role involves writing, editing, and distributing content across various platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases. The Communications Coordinator will ensure all written materials are clear, engaging, and aligned with the Association's messaging and strategic priorities. Additionally, this role will collaborate with different departments to support their communication needs and maintain a consistent voice across all written content.
Create compelling content such as articles, presentations, visuals, and videos to support internal storytelling and communications plans.
Analyze communication metrics and using data to form content strategies and improve engagement.
Compile raw statistic data on the real estate market in CLAR's vast region and create housing reports that Members can rely on when informing their clients on the market.
Qualifications
University degree/college diploma in Communication, or in a related program
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with digital media tools and platforms, including Member management systems (MMS), social media management tools and email marketing software
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Solid understanding of privacy and confidentiality best practices
Proficient in the following software, Adobe Creative Suite - specifically InDesign, Illustrator or photoshop, Canva, Vyond and other similar platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint
Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence software would be considered an asset
A supportive attitude towards the diversity within the CLAR Team and Membership
Knowledge of operations for a Not-for-Profit would be an asset
