Summary


Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Public Relations, the Communications Coordinator\'s mandate is to prepare weekly and monthly newsletters for the media, respond to journalists\' requests for content (episodic photos, synopses, etc.), ensure frequent updating of the press room and press lists, write and revise texts, coordinate events and media monitoring for Bell Media\'s brands in Quebec, including Noovo, Crave and Bell Media\'s specialty channels.

Accountabilities:


  • Preparation of weekly and monthly newsletters
  • Respond to journalists\' requests in a timely manner (send photos, synopsis, etc.)
  • Update press room: program pages - photos, trailers, episodic synopses, cast, etc. - and press releases
  • Frequent updating of the press list
  • Integrate certain press releases and send them to Mailchimp
  • Ensure media monitoring on certain issues, via appropriate tools (e.g. Meltwater) and social networks if applicable
  • Draft, adjust and revise various texts: newsletters, brief, synopsis, etc
  • Coordinate and update program texts in the programming software (IBMS)
  • Support team in coordinating press events
  • Check emails received by Audience Services and take appropriate action, if necessary
  • Other tasks assigned to support the communications team


Qualifications:


  • University degree in communications, writing or journalism
  • At least 2 years\' experience in a position with similar or relevant tasks
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Good knowledge of English, an asset
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office suite software
  • Ability to work with MailChimp, an asset
  • Experience with a website interface (e.g. Wordpress), an asset
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of the television industry
  • Attention to detail, rigor and sense of autonomy
  • Excellent stress and priority management skills
  • Ability to communicate with people and maintain good professional relationships
  • Initiative, flexibility and dynamism
