We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Communications & Booking Assistant to join our vibrant team within the music industry. In this role, you will be the central hub for managing communications, coordinating bookings, and supporting media relations efforts. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will ensure seamless interactions with prospective clients, project managers, media outlets, and the public.
Responsibilities Could Include
Managing incoming inquiries via email, phone, and social media platforms with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Coordinating, scheduling, and booking of events, interviews, and appearances for organizational representatives.
Draft, proofread, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials following AP style guidelines.
Supporting media relations by maintaining contacts with journalists, bloggers, and industry partners; assist in preparing media kits.
Conducting research on industry trends, public opinion, and relevant topics to inform communication strategies.
Assisting in creating engaging content for social media channels to promote events and initiatives.
Proofreading all outgoing materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms.
Skills
Strong written communication skills with a keen eye for detail; proficiency in AP style is preferred.
Music industry experience to filter relevant information/opportunities efficiently.
Background in music events, communications, journalism, or media relations is highly desirable.
Experience in editing and proofreading to ensure high-quality content delivery.
Familiarity with social media management tools and marketing principles.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with media contacts and internal teams.
