Hiring Unit:
Department of Chemistry
Position Summary:Identify science topics that are of interest to the lay public and then research/write about them
Post articles on the OSS website
Translating these longer articles into shorter pieces appropriate for social media platforms
Creating infographics to accompany each article
Assist in the organizing and execution of OSS events
Assist in assembling the weekly newsletter
Other Qualifying Skills and/or AbilitiesStrong written and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Self-starter.
Experience working with various social media platforms.
Experience with Drupal 9 (McGill's web management system).
Experience and Education:Science undergraduate with an interest in evidence-based science communication.
