Point Grey Golf and Country Club, nestled in the heart of scenic landscapes, is a prestigious private club renowned for its exceptional golfing experience and unparalleled member services. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Communications and Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:



The Communications and Marketing Specialist plays a key role in shaping how the Club connects with its members. This position leads the creation and delivery of clear, engaging, and consistent communications that reflect the Club's values and elevate the member experience.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Specialist manages website content, oversees internal and external messaging, and ensures all communications and marketing efforts align with the Club's brand and strategic priorities. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, this role is responsible for developing compelling written and visual content, guiding social media presence, and supporting a variety of key projects and initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and editor with an eye for detail, a proactive and creative mindset, and a strong commitment to delivering member-focused communications.

Key Responsibilities:



Craft member communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and effective messaging for key announcements, policy updates, and upcoming events, while fostering transparency and engagement. Create and deliver compelling, high-quality content across multiple channels--including weekly newsletters, feature articles, social media, and visual media--that strengthens member engagement, builds community, and promotes Club culture. Provide communications support to the General Manager and senior leadership, helping to shape and deliver messaging that supports the Club's mission and strategic priorities. Lead the management and continual enhancement of the Club's website, ensuring all content is up-to-date, visually engaging, and aligned with the Club's brand identity, tone, and strategic objectives. Review, approve, and provide direction on social media content produced by external vendors, ensuring alignment with the Club's voice, visual standards, and long-term communication goals. Coordinate the development of all materials and logistics for townhalls, Special General Meetings (SGM), Annual General Meetings (AGM), ensuring all documents are accurate, cohesive, professionally presented, and delivered in accordance with established timelines. Play a key role in special projects and high-impact communications initiatives, delivering quality outcomes with exceptional attention to detail, brand consistency, and professionalism. Support the Administration team with membership-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field preferred. 4 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or a related field; experience in a private club, hospitality, or member-based organization is an asset. Proven experience writing and editing a variety of content types, including newsletters, articles, digital communications, and formal reports. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to design clear, engaging, and professional presentations that effectively communicate key information. Experience creating visuals, charts, and layouts to support meetings, reports, and proposals is an asset. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional tone and represent the Club's brand in all communications. Strong understanding of internal communications strategies and experience delivering messaging to diverse audiences. Experience reviewing content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), with an understanding of brand alignment and audience engagement. Comfortable collaborating with external vendors such as designers, photographers, and marketing professionals. Familiarity with email marketing platforms and basic visual content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is an advantage. Demonstrated ability to manage website content and work with content management systems (CMS); basic knowledge of website structure and user experience best practices is preferred.
