Our client has experience working across multiple industries, with over 500 clients, from Fortune 500 to start-ups, including CPG, Retail, Financial Services, Automotive, Not for Profit and Emerging Markets to mention a few, across 50+ countries. Consulting focus spans the marketing mix and ranges from the initial strategy development discovery phase through to confirming marketing direction and ultimately optimizing to help drive success. They\'re recognized as an industry leader in offering partners fact-based thought leadership, 24/7 accessible insight platforms and custom solutions.

We are looking for an exceptional professional to join our winning team in Toronto; as a key member of the Thought Leadership & Revenue team, the Communications and Engagement Lead will report directly to the Senior Vice President. They will be instrumental in driving revenue growth through strategic brand, communications, partnership, and marketing initiatives. We are seeking a mid-level professional (Sr. Manager/Director) who wants to be part of a growing team!

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the SVP to identify and capitalize on marketing and brand growth opportunities that elevate our personal brands, SMEs, and the consultancy\'s Global presence.
  • Be a part of, and instrumental in, continuously evolving our vision, in addition to taking a hands-on approach in executing initiatives.
  • Focus areas may include mining and securing speaking engagements to increase our presence in the marketplace, refining content and presentations to inspire through insight-driven content, developing marketing strategies, and/or managing client interactions.
  • Drive new relationship development / build and nurture essential current relationships, effectively turning them into revenue by identifying opportunity and pursuing it. Always from the lens of delivering value to their worlds.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to represent the consultancy, uncovering opportunities to deliver on the company\'s interests and foster or support the fostering of valuable connections.
  • Effectively measure performance, evolving the plan and focus as needed along the way to ensure we are accelerating by focusing on what\'s essential - getting rid of the noise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing and communication efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Proactively identify and address challenges, offering solutions that support the team, revenue generation and growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, Business, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • An understanding of marketing in brand development, communications, sponsorship, or related marketing fields.
  • Graphically inclined, with the ability to bring to creatively bring data to life and create presentations that visually inspire and tell a story.
  • A curious mindset with a focus on growth; the ability to have a vision but not advers to rolling up your sleeves and doing what needs to be done to make things happen.
  • Takes ownership and pride in what they do; working with a team but not reliant on others to make things happen.
  • Ability to see opportunity and turn it into action and ultimately revenue.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth through innovative marketing strategies.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to engage clients and partners effectively but also authentically.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an evolving environment, comfortable with ambiguity as we continue to chart our path forward.
  • Previous agency or new business development experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.

  • Understand the Landscape: Immersing yourself in the company culture, processes, and current initiatives. Familiarize yourself with ongoing projects and key stakeholders.
  • Understanding what\'s out there - Research and Analysis: Conduct an analysis of market initiatives, competitors, and industry dynamics to identify opportunities for revenue generation. Explore and establish partnerships with relevant industry players, leveraging these connections to enhance our brand visibility and revenue streams.
  • Uncover quick wins: Uncover quick wins and opportunities to move us forward as we develop the larger strategic picture.
  • Success Metric: Clear understanding of company dynamics, strategies, and initial alignment with the Senior Vice President (SVP). Identification of initial low-hanging fruit for quick revenue wins.
  • 60 days
  • Initial Strategy Alignment: Bring the internal and external review together in the form of a plan. Engage in in-depth discussions with the SVP to align on short-term and long-term revenue growth goals. Identify immediate areas for improvement.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Develop a framework for tracking the impact of our initiatives on revenue growth. Regularly report progress and insights to the SVP and the leadership team.
  • Initiative Execution: Lead the implementation of initial marketing and branding initiatives identified in collaboration with the SVP. Monitor their progress, adjusting as needed.
  • Success Metric: Successful execution of quick wins and initial initiatives with measurable impact on revenue growth. Clear, succinct and actionable plan with key targets for profitable revenue growth.
  • 180 days
  • Holistic Strategy Refinement: Collaborate with the SVP to refine the overarching revenue growth strategy based on data-driven insights and feedback from implemented initiatives.
  • New Business Acceleration: Drive new business acquisition by identifying and nurturing leads, utilizing insights from the 30-60 day engagement period.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strengthen collaboration across departments to ensure alignment of marketing and branding efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Global Expansion Planning: Begin assessing opportunities for expanding our presence beyond North America, creating a roadmap for entering new international markets.
  • Success Metric: Demonstrated revenue growth resulting from strategic initiatives. Expanded new business pipeline. Clearly defined roadmap for international expansion.
