About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Communications, Corporate and functionally reports to the Director, Clinical Engagement, One Person One Record (OPOR) Program, is a key member of the OPOR program, the Communications Advisor will provide strategic and technical advice and deliver dynamic communication products to ensure achievement of NS Health, IWK and government\xe2\x80\x99s goals related to OPOR. Working closely with colleagues in communications and OPOR clinical engagement, the position supports the team\xe2\x80\x99s communication and engagement activities that build and strengthen the organizations response to issues, challenges and opportunities that advance the OPOR program in the health system.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations or a related field
  • Minimum of three years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience in the communications sector.
  • Knowledge of best practice related to corporate communications, engagement, public relations, graphic design, online engagement
  • Exceptional skills in preparing web, social media, and online engagement strategies with demonstrated success in developing effective content and engaging audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in desktop publishing and basic layout design.
  • Strategic and system-focused thinking; strong analysis and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating events.
  • Ability to support internal and external collaborative relationships.
  • Experience managing public relations issues and in reputation management.
  • Computer proficiency and interest and ability to work within online platforms.
  • Ability to produce dynamic content across a variety of platforms and for a variety of mediums (graphic design).
The following will be considered assets:
  • Knowledge of change theory and change management practices
  • Knowledge and expertise in digital marketing, audience development
  • Knowledge of IAP2 principles and practices
  • Experience in the health sector
  • Working proficiency of French
Hours
  • Long-assignment, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Biweekly
  • Approximately 12 months (possible assignment length extension)
Compensation and Incentives

$32.01 - $40.02 Hourly
