Summary



We are seeking a Communications & Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team at Richardson Sport Inc in Victoria. This role is crucial in supporting our mission by ensuring effective communication within our organization and with the community. The ideal candidate will help us maintain our commitment to providing exceptional recreational programs.

Responsibilities


1. Marketing & Communications Support (50%)



Help create and schedule social media posts for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Monitor social media accounts and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a friendly, professional manner. Craft email newsletters and announcements across a multitude of platforms Organize marketing materials (e.g., images, videos, campaign files) in Google Drive. Propose ideas for social media or newsletter content based on seasonal events or programs. Update website content, such as schedules or notices Assist in preparing presentations or promotional materials by formatting or gathering content.

2. Administrative & Operational Support (50%)



Support the Director of Operations with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling emails. Answer phone calls and emails from parents, clients, or partners in a professional manner. Manage program waitlists and registration communications. Enter and organize program data (e.g., attendance, registrations) in tools like Google Sheets. Maintain organized Google Drive folders for easy file access. Prepare basic documents, reports, or meeting notes as needed. Support small tasks or projects across departments (e.g., marketing, programming, customer service). Keep internal documents (e.g., contact lists, forms) up to date.

Ideal Skills & Qualifications



Strong written and verbal communication skills with a friendly, customer-focused attitude. Curiosity in learning social media platforms and other marketing tools Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Comfort using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) or a willingness to learn. Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in customer service, youth programs, or sports organizations is a plus. Familiarity with Canva or design tools is helpful but not required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
