Position

Hours:

Hours are dependent on the number of clients you would like to see

Location:

At the moment, this job requires that you travel to the client's homes unless they prefer virtual therapy

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing treatment plans for clients [under the guidance of the SLP] Conduct therapy sessions with clients in-person and/or virtually as appropriate Provide home practice support, client education, and progress monitoring Maintain accurate session notes and client records Maintain updated knowledge on relative topics with consistent continuing education Collaborate with the SLP and other professionals to ensure optimal client outcomes Support client engagement and communication through creative and evidence-based strategies Brainstorm treatments and review clients with the SLP Provide a safe space for all clients Assist with some administrative tasks such as calling through the waitlist

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited

Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) program or Communication Sciences and Disorders (SLP) program

Experience or interest in

myofunctional therapy

and/or

Autism Spectrum Disorder

is an asset (training can be provided) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse clients in an inclusive setting Excellent organizational and documentation skills Comfortable with virtual therapy platforms and digital documentation Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and do research to support treatment approaches

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
