Canadian Hearing Services has an opening for a Communication Devices Specialist, preferably based in Ontario, responsible for achieving sales targets across all stages of the sales process, from initial contact to customer satisfaction. This role involves identifying key market segments within educational institutions, school boards, businesses, and other sectors to promote and sell Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) and Accessible Services.



Reporting to the Supervisor, Operations and eCommerce, this role will include the following:


Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, school boards, and businesses to provide ongoing onsite and virtual trainings, consultations, equipment installation, after-sales support, and maintenance of existing equipment. Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal staff regarding new or improved technologies, invoicing, and return policies. Respond to customer calls and emails and provide support in a professional and efficient manner. Promote accessibility awareness and the benefits of communication devices and accommodations for individuals who are culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened, or hard of hearing through presentations, workshops, and trade shows.

This is a permanent, full-time unionized position working Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This is also a hybrid position and requires frequent travel within Ontario or occasionally as required to a local CHS office or head office in Toronto. Some evening and weekend work may also be required for installations, presentations, trade shows, or special events.





The successful candidate will have a Graduate or College diploma in Marketing, Communications, or Business, along with 2 years of proven experience in sales, including meeting and exceeding sales targets, developing new accounts, managing invoicing and inventory, and building enduring customer relationships.



You are passionate about accessibility and how technology solutions and community-based services can empower Deaf and hard of hearing Canadians to overcome barriers to participation.



You are a highly motivated individual with a sense of urgency who can manage a varied workload with competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and sales results. You bring excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills (in both English and French) and demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, and CRM systems (experience with CRM is an asset).



Knowledge of culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing communities, access variables, and communication devices is an asset. A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required, as this role involves frequent regional travel. Some lifting and installation of small to medium-sized equipment may also be required.
