Hiring Unit:
Department of Family Medicine
Position Summary:
The incumbent will be facilitating communication between community, community organizations and the research team that is needed for the project to be carried out from start to finish in the community. This includes:

  • Assisting with recruitment and follow up with participants;
  • Assisting with all project-related communication and reporting;
  • Helping with organizing of consent gathering procedures;
  • Assisting with conducting of data collection and providing summaries about data collected and participant recruitment;
  • Help with facilitating compensation to participants and documentation of it;
  • Documenting contacts for recruitment and uploading consent files based on study protocols;
  • Assist with organizing Research Advisory Board Meetings / Advisory Circles;
  • Communicating to the wider community and partner organizations about the project;
  • Assist with getting and maintaining community approvals;
  • Attending weekly meetings.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with community members, organizations, and research teams. Comfortable helping organize meetings, track participant information, and maintain document. Attention to detail. Discretion. Respectful and open to learning about Indigenous cultures and community protocols. Able to assist with scheduling, reporting and keeping records organized.

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 on a scale of 0-4.

Hourly Salary: (AMUSE C) $24.19
Estimated Number of Work Hours per Week: 25 (Part time)
