Buhler Industries Inc. is a leading tractor and tillage manufacturing company dedicated to innovation, quality, and excellence. We are expanding our procurement team and seeking a skilled

Commodity Specialist

to manage strategic sourcing and supplier relationships for key commodities critical to our production process.

What You'll Do



As a Commodity Specialist, you'll take ownership of specific commodities and supplier relationships to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery performance. You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to drive efficiency, innovation, and cost savings across our supply chain.

Your key responsibilities will include:



Developing and executing cost reduction strategies. Staying current on new product developments and product changes. Managing supplier end-of-life and continuity plans to prevent production delays. Acting as a liaison between Suppliers and Engineering for new product proposals, design changes, and cost savings. Establishing and maintaining strong, strategic supplier relationships. Creating and managing supplier contracts, NDAs, and other key agreements. Managing First Article Inspection (FAI) purchase orders and approvals. Investigating and resolving purchase order price discrepancies. Supporting Quality Assurance and Buyers to resolve supplier and supply chain issues.

What You Bring



Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred). Minimum

2 years' experience

in sourcing or purchasing (industrial experience a plus). Experience managing large numbers of SKUs and complex supply chains. Technical aptitude--ability to read drawings and specifications. Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills. Experience with supplier development, performance reviews, and risk mitigation. Familiarity with

Kanban systems

and ERP software. Solid experience in

contract management

, including international agreements. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills--comfortable collaborating across departments.
