The Commissary Lead is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the daily operations of the Commissary. This includes receiving and processing incoming stock/product, preparing, and completing orders for delivery to inmates, and performing inventory and quality control as well as supervision of staff. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Comprehensive benefit packages are offered. Transportation is provided out of Timmins or Cochrane, ON; travel allowance is available for some areas that are further away. Rotation are 14 days on/ 14 days off.

Job Responsibilities

Accountable and responsible for maintaining a culture focused on having Safety as a value Exceptional Customer Services skills Ability to handle customer concerns and complaints with professionalism Maintain weekly inventory of all products and supplies in commissary Advise management on inventory levels on a weekly basis Open and close commissary on scheduled basis Place orders for commissary stock and supplies as needed Maintain and count inventory accurately and regularly Maintains, refill and restock vending machines on site Supervise the Commissary Clerk, providing guidance and support Must be able to drive on site for vending and inventory duties Operate Commissary POS (Point Of Sale) system as required Required to handle cash, debit, and credit machines Perform daily cash outs and floats at the end of each shift Ensure that the Commissary areas are always kept tidy and in a presentable manner, clear of workplace hazards Support the janitorial team in maintaining the cleanliness of the common areas and washrooms of the surrounding areas

Qualifications

------------------

Previous warehouse experience preferred. 1+ years Administrative/Retail experience preferably in remote camp or retail/hospitality industries Valid WHMIS Certification is mandatory, Food Safe Basic and First Aid Certifications are an asset Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks. Additional certification may be required by work location Excellent customer service and communication skills Knowledge of computers, Microsoft software and/or POS programs is mandatory Strong with prioritization and time management Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised Must have Valid Driver's License and clean Drivers Abstract and able to drive on site Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
