The Commercial Security Technician is pivotal for driving security solutions and providing a piece of mind for our customers. Customers depend on our technicians to deploy reliable, innovative security solutions that align with their needs and to keep them up and running. The sales team relies on our technicians to assist with system design to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.

Our Security Technicians are the frontline representatives of Radius in our customer's buildings and embody our DNA to take care of the site's installation & maintenance needs.

Without this role our business could not function effectively, and the safety of our community would be compromised.

CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY



Technical Duties

Installation, programming & servicing of security systems. This includes security cameras, CCTV, alarm systems, access control, in-suite wiring, system networking, wire pulling in a commercial environment. Taking accountability for troubleshooting and driving solutions to any problems or improvements that need to be made. Take initiative to communicate with Project Manager/Service Coordination team as to any problems, issues, scheduling conflicts, delays, or unoccupied time.
Customer Support Services

Provide customer service that consistently WOW the customer. Train clients on the proper use of the installed equipment and interactions with our monitoring station. Comply with customer site procedures and requirements. Communicate with the client to manage arrival and completion of project expectations either directly or through the Radius Coordination Team.
Other Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Support with rotational after hours on-call. Safely operate company-issued vehicle & tools, adhering to company policy, and take responsibility for maintenance of vehicle. Main Safety Considerations: working with ladders, heights, electrical, manual dexterity, prolonged standing, working with noises (alarm testing), driving a company vehicle.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE



3+ Years of Demonstrated Experience with Installation, Programming & Servicing of Security Systems.

Trade Qualification (TQ) Certificate:

ability to detect, respond and resolve security incidents.

Knowledge of Security Applications:

Video verification, video analytics, forensic video systems, intrusion alarms, burg, ULC Fire.

Class 5 Drivers License & Clean Driving Record.

Security License, or Ability to Obtain a Security License.
