Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our estimating team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, pricing strategies, and project management principles. The Estimator will play a critical role in securing new projects and supporting the overall profitability of our company.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using Bluebeam and other estimating software. Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources. Develop accurate pricing strategies by researching material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor quotes. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate terms and finalize bids. Assist in the development of project timelines and budgets to ensure feasibility and profitability. Review and update estimates throughout the bidding process to reflect changes or new information. Maintain organized records of all estimating documents for future reference and audits. Support project management teams during project execution by providing cost analysis and change order assessments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial roofing estimating, with proficiency in Bluebeam, and other relevant software tools. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Familiarity with project management principles within the construction industry is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
