Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing installation, maintenance, and repair for commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, the ability to work at heights, and proficiency with various hand tools. The Commercial Roofer will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and durability of roofing systems while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems on commercial buildings using various materials such as asphalt, metal, and membrane. Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required to transport materials and equipment. Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing of roofs. Conduct inspections of existing roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction or roofing, with a strong emphasis on commercial projects. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks. Familiarity with carpentry practices is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights. Previous maintenance person experience is desirable but not mandatory. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
