As the Commercial Pump Quotations person, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process by preparing accurate and competitive quotes for commercial pump customers. Your primary responsibility will be to liaise with clients, suppliers, engineers and internal teams to gather necessary information and create detailed proposals. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities to ensure the successful execution of the commercial pump department goals.

Salary for the position is $60,320.00 annually. Wages can be scaled with education and/or relevant experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with other staff, mfg representatives, customers, management, and technical experts to gather requirements for commercial pump projects
• Be professional, respectful, reliable and self-motivated
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal & written
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Excellent attention to details
• Capable of dealing with large volumes of information and work with deadlines
• Review mechanical drawings to accurately assess project scope and materials needed to ensure a smooth project from start to completion
• Communication with Engineers and Consultants to seek approvals or clarifications on specifications
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and lead times for pump system components
• Prepare and distribute formal quotations to clients and internal stakeholders in a timely manner
• Quote tracking processes, including follow up with both customers and branch staff to try and close business
• Maintain accurate records of quote requests, revisions, and approvals
• Stay informed about new products and technologies in the pump industry
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers
Qualifications:
• Completion of grade 12
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction, HVAC, or mechanical contracting industry, working with commercial customers
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, and specifications
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate cost calculations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of computer office software

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and customers
• Problem-solving abilities to address complex project requirements and challenges
