Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to lead tenant improvements, hospitality projects, retail environments, and other commercial builds. As the operational lead, you will manage the full project lifecycle, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and internal partners including The Shop to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Made by Pacific's standards for quality, schedule, cost control, and client experience.

What You'll Do
Safety
Champion and enforce all PSC safety protocols, procedures, and programs.
Identify hazards and implement appropriate controls (engineering, administrative, and PPE).
Confirm competency of workers prior to task execution.
Lead or support incident, injury, and near-miss investigations.
Create and maintain a strong safety culture on site.
Develop site-specific Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and Emergency Response Plans (ERPs).
Conduct mock drills when applicable
Quality
Ensure compliance with all engineering, architectural, and design specifications.
Monitor and enforce adherence to building codes, city bylaws, and fire regulations.
Maintain Made by Pacific quality standards throughout the entire construction project.
Lead and manage punch list and deficiency resolution, ensuring timely completion and successful project closeout.
Scheduling & Coordination
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules (MS Project, Procore, or equivalent).
Identify, procure, and track long lead-time materials and equipment to support schedule adherence and mitigate delays.
Provide accurate 3-5 day look-ahead and forecast upcoming tasks.
Manage milestone dates and ensure schedule adherence.
Communicate resource needs and schedule impacts to Operations Leadership.
Develop, maintain, and enforce a project responsibility matrix to clearly define scope, roles, and accountability across all project stakeholders.
Coordinate all subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Cost Management
Understand project budgets and cost breakdowns (labour, equipment, materials, subs).
Understand T&M & Fixed Cost contracts.
Track and maintain accurate cost-to-date reporting throughout the project.
Work closely with the Pacific Finance Team to meet reporting requirements.
Review and sign off on all invoices and payables prior to submission to the client.
Prepare, negotiate, and administer change orders in accordance with contract terms.
Assist with accounts receivable and ensure timely client billing.
Audit and explain project financial performance when required.
Client & Stakeholder Experience
Represent Made by Pacific professionally and proactively with clients, consultants, and partners.
Maintain consistent communication, manage expectations, and work through challenges with clarity and confidence.
Ensure all deliverables reflect Pacific's emphasis on partnership, transparency, and craftsmanship.
Team Leadership & Culture
Foster a positive work culture rooted in accountability, professionalism, and collaboration.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and support for internal teams and external partners.
Align onsite efforts with company values and project vision.
Support education, training, and competency development for project personnel.
What You Bring
3+ years of project management experience within a general contracting environment.
Commercial TI experience (hospitality, retail, office, or experiential builds) is a strong asset.
Solid understanding of building codes, bylaws, and permitting requirements.
Experience managing project budgets, financial reporting, and cost control.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and document control.
Ability to anticipate issues, think ahead, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with construction technology: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, iOS, Zoom, Procore, etc.
A positive, solutions-oriented attitude and a collaborative approach.
