LOCATION:

Toronto, ON (Remote)

POSITION: Commercial Lines Underwriter

What you will do

Underwrite and evaluate Commercial Lines risks for new and existing business. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our distribution partners, delivering exceptional customer service experience. Maintain quality and profitability of our portfolio and refer all risks outside established authority level. Review Loss Control report and apply Risk Management practices in underwriting process. Respond to inquiries regarding modifications to policy files within our service level agreement.

What you will bring

Professional Lines or Medical Malpractice Underwriting experience will be an asset Bilingual in French and English (oral and written) will be considered a strong asset Minimum 3 years of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to interact in a professional manner to develop long-term relationships with our partners Ability to be self-motivated and proactively pursue potential business opportunities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Post-secondary education (insurance, business, or related disciplines)
