Position Overview



The

Commercial Leasing Agent

is responsible for managing and executing leasing activities across Leyad's retail property portfolio. This role focuses on sourcing and securing tenants, negotiating lease agreements, maintaining strong relationships with clients and brokers, and ensuring that all spaces are leased in alignment with company objectives and market conditions. The ideal candidate is driven, results-oriented, and skilled in communication and negotiation within the commercial real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities



Source, prospect, and secure new tenants for available and upcoming commercial spaces. Manage the full leasing cycle -- from marketing and lead generation to negotiation and lease execution. Conduct property tours and present spaces to potential tenants and brokers. Negotiate lease terms and renewals in accordance with company policies and market conditions. Prepare and review offers, proposals, and lease documents. Monitor lease expirations and proactively manage renewals to maintain high occupancy rates. Research and analyze market trends, rental rates, and competitive properties. Collaborate with property management and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely lease administration. Maintain relationships with existing tenants, brokers, and industry professionals. Support marketing initiatives, including online listings, signage, and promotional materials. Report regularly on leasing activity, occupancy status, and market updates to senior management.

Qualifications



College diploma or university degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field. Previous experience in commercial leasing, property management, or real estate brokerage. Strong understanding of lease structures, legal terminology, and negotiation principles. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding leasing targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Yardi, MRI, or CRM software is an asset. Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

L'agent de location commerciale est responsable de la gestion et de l'execution des activites de location au sein du portefeuille immobilier de detail de Leyad. Ce role consiste a rechercher et a securiser de nouveaux locataires, a negocier les baux, a entretenir de solides relations avec les clients et les courtiers, et a s'assurer que tous les espaces sont loues conformement aux objectifs de l'entreprise et aux conditions du marche. Le candidat ideal est motive, axe sur les resultats et possede d'excellentes competences en communication et en negociation dans le secteur de l'immobilier commercial.

Responsabilites principales



Rechercher, prospecter et securiser de nouveaux locataires pour les espaces commerciaux disponibles ou a venir. Gerer l'ensemble du cycle de location -- de la mise en marche et la generation de prospects a la negociation et a la signature du bail. Organiser des visites de proprietes et presenter les espaces aux locataires et courtiers potentiels. Negocier les conditions et les renouvellements de bail conformement aux politiques de l'entreprise et aux conditions du marche. Preparer et examiner les offres, propositions et documents de location. Surveiller les echeances de bail et gerer de maniere proactive les renouvellements afin de maintenir un taux d'occupation eleve. Rechercher et analyser les tendances du marche, les taux de location et les proprietes concurrentes. Collaborer avec les equipes de gestion immobiliere et de comptabilite afin d'assurer une administration des baux precise et efficace. Entretenir des relations positives avec les locataires existants, les courtiers et les professionnels du secteur. Soutenir les initiatives marketing, y compris les annonces en ligne, la signalisation et le materiel promotionnel. Rendre compte regulierement des activites de location, du taux d'occupation et des tendances du marche a la direction.

Qualifications



Diplome collegial ou universitaire en administration, immobilier ou domaine connexe. Experience prealable en location commerciale, gestion immobiliere ou courtage immobilier. Solide comprehension des structures de bail, de la terminologie juridique et des principes de negociation. Excellentes competences en communication, presentation et relations interpersonnelles. Antecedents demontres dans l'atteinte ou le depassement des objectifs de location. Maitrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); l'experience avec Yardi, MRI ou un logiciel CRM constitue un atout. Permis de conduire valide et acces a un moyen de transport fiable.
