The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Commercial Insurance Advisor
to join our team full-time. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow a diverse commercial portfolio, work closely with clients and insurers, and provide expert advice on risk management solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed professional with proven experience in commercial lines, strong technical knowledge, and a client-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare
RFQs, proposals, and binders
for new and renewal business
Analyze client coverage requirements, exposures, and loss history to recommend tailored risk management strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with
underwriters, business development managers, producers, and account managers
Provide accurate and timely client service, including policy inquiries, coverage explanations, and endorsements
Stay current on insurer products, underwriting appetites, and industry regulations
Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of marketing progress and placement updates
Continuously enhance your technical expertise through training and professional development
Represent AMC Insurance in the marketplace with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications
Level 2 BC General Insurance License (required)
Minimum 3 years' experience
in Commercial Insurance
Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and commercial risk solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to build strong client and insurer relationships
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and insurance management systems
Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
Preferred Assets:
Professional designations such as
CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM
