In this impactful role, you will be providing leadership and direction, actively embedding and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director to serve as a Senior Commercial Advisor to one of our clients senior leadership members. This role focuses on supporting commercial and financial modeling, enabling the evaluation of various xe2x80x9cwhat ifxe2x80x9d scenarios to effectively contribute to commercial negotiations across multiple contract forms, including Alliances, Progressive Design-Build, and Public-Private Partnerships (P3).Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial and Financial Modeling: Develop and analyze financial models to assess different scenarios and outcomes, supporting strategic decision-making in negotiations. This includes Painshare/Gainshare, Profit Suspension, Earned Value Calculations, inflation indices, and similar financial variables for Progressive Contracts.
  • Project Agreement Analysis: Review and comprehend multiple Project Agreements for a variety of projects and contract types, providing insights and expert advice to guide commercial strategies and objectives.
  • Negotiation Support: Assist in commercial negotiations by preparing negotiation mandates, strategies, and supporting materials tailored to specific contract forms.
  • Training and Coaching: Work with the commercial management team to identify key focus points for their roles, supporting the development of strong in-house commercial technical competency. Assist with compliance regarding contractual obligations, monthly checks and balances, management of changes, and forecasting.
  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted soundboard to the VP of Commercial, offering high-level insights and recommendations to enhance negotiation outcomes and commercial agreements.
  • Contract Administration: Possess a deep understanding of the delivery and administration of various contract forms, including Alliances and Progressive Design-Build contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to align on commercial strategies and optimize project outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a senior commercial advisory role, particularly within the construction, infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and commercial negotiations, with a strong understanding of various contract forms, including Alliances, Progressive Design-Build, and P3.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and assess complex financial models.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and engage with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing negotiation strategies and mandates to drive successful commercial outcomes.
  • A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP) are advantageous.
