Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various commercial and public spaces. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for clients, employees, and visitors. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is required. The Area of service is Calgary North to Red Deer, AB.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of assigned areas Sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, notifying management of any needs or repairs Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure consistency and quality of work Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards identified during cleaning duties Adhere to company policies regarding health, safety, and confidentiality

Requirements

Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Reliable work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness Ability to follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals safely Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
