Job Description

A well-established, local, and truly independent insurance brokerage is currently in search for an experienced Commercial Claims Advocate to support their in-house claims operations. Responsibilities

• Review and interpret policy wording to assess coverage for reported losses
• Enter new claim details into the internal system
• Represent and support the insured throughout the settlement process
• Manage claims efficiently to resolution using a structured follow-up system
• Keep thorough and accurate claim records
• Respond to phone calls and emails promptly, in line with company standards
• Examine claims data to identify trends and support risk prevention strategies
• Create reports for both internal stakeholders and external partners
• Participate in meetings, mediations, and settlement discussions
• Provide regular claim status updates to clients and internal teams until closure

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a claims role
• Must have diverse exposure in commercial claims, casualty experience is a huge bonus!
• Strong communication and listening skills are critical
• CIP or CRM designations are considered assets
