Job Description

As a Commercial Building Labourer, you are responsible for the daily general repairs, maintenance and grounds keeping duties in Maclab Development Group\xe2\x80\x99s commercial portfolio. You are well organized, resourceful, and are able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment. You are a person who is responsible, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and a good communicator. You have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and troubleshooting solutions and possess experience in the following roles and responsibilities: Roles & Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Manage a maintenance program to keep the building and property esthetic at peak performance; \xc2\xb7 Work to control the deterioration of structures and facilities, and report the breakdown of machinery and equipment; \xc2\xb7 Implement best practice commercial safety protocols and procedures; \xc2\xb7 Perform regular grounds keeping duties; including, lawn mowing, weed control, sidewalk management snow and ice, etc. \xc2\xb7 Ensure snow clearing contractor performs work to our standards and sand and gravel areas of concern as required; \xc2\xb7 Consider tenant operating hours and negative impacts when scheduling and performing work; \xc2\xb7 Respond to corrective or emergency (including after-hours, weekends and holidays) maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner; \xc2\xb7 Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies at each property, as required; \xc2\xb7 Regularly monitor vacant units; \xc2\xb7 Coordinate access and inspections as required; \xc2\xb7 Regularly inspect and monitor the properties for vandalism, building damage and other issues. \xc2\xb7 Repair and paint damage and graffiti as needed. Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Commercial building and grounds keeping experience \xc2\xb7 Experience working for a commercial real estate landlord (institutional or otherwise) \xc2\xb7 Proficient in safety protocols and procedures \xc2\xb7 Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role \xc2\xb7 Must possess tact, diplomacy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality \xc2\xb7 Ability to work effectively in a team environment \xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and work 8 hrs in inclimate weather \xc2\xb7 Experience with landscaping and snow removal equipment \xc2\xb7 Personal vehicle required that has capacity to move equipment as needed We thank all applicants for their interest; however only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
