, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and exceptional client service across a diverse portfolio of commercial insurance clients. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong relationships, supporting marketing and placement activities, and identifying opportunities to grow the book of business.
This is a
full-time, in-office position
offering the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and a wide range of commercial clients.
Responsibilities:
Manage and service an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of policy and service requirements
Work directly with clients, prospects, and underwriters to market, quote, renew, and maintain commercial insurance programs
Receive and process client requests, including endorsements, certificates, renewals, and cancellations
Provide clear instructions and communication to internal processing and service teams
Work with clients and underwriters to gather underwriting information, assess exposures, and ensure appropriate coverage solutions
Support marketing efforts for new and renewal business, including preparing submissions and negotiating terms with insurers
Review policy documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring coverage meets client needs
Provide prompt, professional advice and guidance to clients on insurance and risk management matters
Maintain proactive communication and build strong, long-term relationships with clients
Assist with claims reporting and follow-up as required
Contribute to team initiatives, process improvements, and special projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Level 2 General Insurance License
preferred (or Level 1 with the expectation to achieve Level 2 within the first year)
Minimum
2-5 years of commercial insurance experience
Experience in small business, mid-market, or other commercial lines considered an asset
Post-secondary education in a related field an asset
Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proven organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated client service and sales skills -- able to retain existing business and identify opportunities for growth
