POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Manager, Corporate Finance, contributes to the growth of BDC\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Financing portfolio by researching, developing, and recommending high-quality transactions that are consistent with BDC\'s credit policies and risk parameters. The incumbent also acts as a "trusted advisor" to entrepreneurs while providing outstanding customer service. They identify business sectors with significant growth potential and is innovative and creative in implementing solutions for entrepreneurs to meet their financing or consulting needs. They forge and maintain relationships with clients and influencers to grow BDC\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Financing assets and ensures an excellent risk/return ratio in line with BDC\'s profitability objectives.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

Proactively identify and develop new corporate financing and consulting opportunities.

Develop and implement a customer relationship retention and growth strategy to build a profitable portfolio of long-term loans from existing or new customers, while providing superior customer service.

Develop and execute their own marketing plan aligned with Corporate Financing\'s strategy and portfolio objectives while achieving financial objectives related to expected loss rate, profitability, revenue growth and client retention.

Conduct adequate investigations and exercise due diligence on all loan proposals.

Pre-qualify, structure loan proposals, and present them to Corporate Finance\'s Loan Drafting group in accordance with BDC\'s policies and procedures, including all appropriate analysis and documentation and offering an excellent risk/return ratio.

Act as a "trusted advisor" to Corporate Finance\'s clients while providing outstanding client service to maintain ongoing relationships and ensure client loyalty.

Plan and execute activities to promote BDC\'s financing and consulting services, particularly its ability to manage major loans, and assist business centre management in coordinating business development activities in the regions.

Build ongoing and lasting relationships, including with associations, influencers, and financial institutions, to help BDC achieve its corporate financing goals.

Stay abreast of general issues affecting the Corporate Finance community, including market conditions, industry practices and the financial results of existing and potential clients.

WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor\'s degree in business administration or any other field deemed relevant;

Professional designations such as CBV, CFA and CPA are considered important assets;

Seven to ten years of experience in a relevant field;

Demonstrated business development skills and strong client relations skills;

Excellent analytical business acumen and strategic thinking;

Ability to promote BDC\'s services to clients.es existants.es and prospects;

Ability to identify business opportunities for entrepreneurs who will benefit from BDC\'s unique range of services (financing and consulting);

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Sense of organization and proactivity;

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);

Excellent capacity to work in collaboration and in teams is important. Bilingualism in English and French both orally and in writing.
