ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a Combustion Technician at our new location in Dieppe NB. The successful candidate will maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair various heating systems within a varied portfolio to achieve optimum life span of the equipment.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain gas fired equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications. Some ventilation equipment service and maintenance. Complete digital work orders, detailed reports and daily digital time summaries.

Ensure safe working conditions are enforced and strictly adhered to in accordance to company policy.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must possess G1 Certification (liquid endorsement would be an asset) OBT oil system heating technician optional. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification would be an asset. Knowledge of circulating pumps service and maintenance. Valid Class 5 driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Security/Reliability clearance, as well as other site-specific clearances. Experience using mobile technologies. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to read and work from HVAC, mechanical schematics, electrical schematics, line drawings, etc. Knowledge in a variety of electronic, pneumatic, and DDC control systems an asset. Strong mechanical ability and problem solving skills. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to meet deadlines.
